Columnar activated carbon is a highly efficient adsorption material. It is processed from high-quality coal, wood or coconut shells through carbonization, activation and other techniques. It appears as black cylindrical particles with a diameter usually ranging from 1.5 to 8mm. It has a well-developed pore structure, a large specific surface area (850-1200m²/g), strong adsorption capacity, an iodine value of 800-1100mg/g, high mechanical strength (≥90%), and good chemical stability.
Ingredients

Raw material selection

Crushing and screening

Mixing and kneading

Extrusion molding

Carbonization treatment
Carbonization is carried out at high temperature (400-600℃) in an oxygen-deficient environment to remove volatile matter and form an initial pore structure.
Activation treatment
Steam or chemical activation (800-1000℃) is adopted to expand the specific surface area and enhance the adsorption performance.
Cooling and sieving
After cooling, sieve out the debris to ensure uniform particles.
Quality inspection and packaging
Test the iodine value, strength, moisture content and other indicators. After passing the test, package it.
