Activated carbon is divided into four categories based on the main raw materials used in its manufacturing: coal based activated carbon, wooden activated carbon, synthetic activated carbon, and other types of activated carbon. Classified into 16 types based on the main raw materials used in manufacturing and the corresponding product shape combinations. Among them, coal based activated carbon is divided into: columnar coal based granular activated carbon, crushed coal based granular activated carbon, powdered coal based granular activated carbon, spherical coal based granular activated carbon. Wood particle activated carbon can be divided into columnar wood particle activated carbon, crushed wood particle activated carbon, powdered wood particle activated carbon, and spherical wood particle activated carbon. Synthetic material activated carbon is divided into: columnar synthetic material particle activated carbon, crushed synthetic material particle activated carbon, powdered synthetic material particle activated carbon, formed activated carbon, spherical synthetic material particle activated carbon, cloth type synthetic material activated carbon (carbon fiber cloth), and felt type synthetic material activated carbon (carbon fiber felt). Other types of activated carbon refer to activated carbon prepared from other raw materials (such as coal tar pitch, Petroleum coke, etc.) in addition to the above three types of activated carbon. Naming convention
Activated carbon is named according to its material and shape. The naming method is based on the content specified in the naming principles, with three layers of content: the first layer represents the main raw materials for the production of activated carbon, represented by the initial letter of the English word for the main raw materials in uppercase; The second layer represents the shape of activated carbon, represented by the initial letter of the English word 'shape' in uppercase; The third layer is the name of activated carbon, composed of Chinese characters.
